Davis Borders

The Davis Borders is the unofficial hangout spot for the Junior high and High school kids in town. Located in the Davis Commons on 1st Street, it is a faily large bookstore with a wide variety of literature including manga, science and technology, romance, test prep and religion. They also have a large children's section with places for kids to sit and play games.

They don't just sell books however, there is a large DVD section with movies and television shows, boardgames, school supplies, gift wrapping, picture frames and more. A great hang out spot is the "Borders Cafe," which has a lot of seating and a Seattle's Best Coffee shop. They boast that they also have free WiFi in this area, but that is negotiable. This is where most people come to read through magazines and books so they don't actually have to leave the store and pay for them.

If you do enter Borders with the intent of buying something I definitely reccommend signing up for the rewards program. They send you frequent coupons via e-mail that usually offer 20-35% off most merchandise. My motto when it comes to Borders: "never buy anything without a coupon."
