In conjunction with the farmer's market this morning Davis held a "Cool Davis Festival." Since I really had no idea what this mean't I decided to go and see what the heck it was. It held my interest for about 10 minutes. Only because I had gotten some food from the market though.
Basically there was a line of tents sent up in central park across from the market for people to visit and get information about how to live more sustainably and how to lower personal carbon emissions. So there were booths trying to sell solar panels, or give information about saving water, and all that kind of weird environmental stuff. Typical Davis. Along with this there was a lot of live entertainment including some musical groups and a giant blue water droplet that wandered around and scared the crap out of young innocent children.
Dun duh, dun duh.
