MOCA

We finally had a day off of school for the Labor Day holiday today, so what did we want to do? Go study more architecture of course! I guess that's how you know you are in the right place.

So today we took a trip to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Downtown LA and got a chance to explore the city a little bit. It was a gorgeous day, but luckily not too many people were out because most places were closed due to the holiday. But there were just enough people to get in front of the MOCA sign for my picture:


Contemporary art is great and all, but my favorite part was going to the Geffen for their exhibit on Southern California architects. There were sketches and models everywhere and it was actually very motivating to see some professional designs and models, especially from people such as Frank Gehry. I took many pictures, but here is one of my favorite displays:


Lastly, we finished off our fun-filled day by exploring some of the architecture around the city and saw an actual built display from Frank Gehry and one of my favorite of all, the Walt Disney Concert Hall:
