Day 10: Tokyo City View

Today was our first full day in Tokyo and we spent most of it doing homework. But luckily our house here is really nice so I don't even mind having to stay inside most of the day. After working all day we went out at night during sunset to the Mori Tower for a view of the city. The Mori Tower has an observation tower deck on the 52nd story and a rooftop deck for views of the city. We went to the decks for these incredible views of the city.

We waited until it was dark before going up to the rooftop deck. The rooftop was completely open with just railings to keep you from falling off of the roof, but the views here were amazing as well and in the photo below you can see Tokyo tower which looks a lot like the Eiffel tower.

Just my luck as well that they had a Star Wars exhibition going on in the Mori Tower while we were there and they were playing Star Wars music the entire time making the city just seem that much more epic.

The exhibit had a lot of art, models and costumes from all of the movies and they even had each of the characters' light sabers. I couldn't take pictures inside the exhibit, but I snuck a few where I could. After leaving Mori Tower we walked around Aoyama which is well known for its shopping in Tokyo. There are many stores there including a Prada and a Cartier designed by famous architects which are really cool buildings, but I will post more on these later. For now, goodnight!
