So over this long weekend I started cleaning my closet and came across some old pictures. I thought it might be interesting to do a "before/after" thing on here.
This picture was taken almost exactly 11 years ago. Back in the day when I was a dumb little kid who wrote on photos using a ball-point pen. The picture shows the future site of Mace Ranch Park, facing towards Alhambra Dr. I remember I used to love this open field because it was so fun to go biking through. It was full of dirt and weeds and people would construct their own paths and jumps. I spent a lot of time here as a little kid. But my fun was ruined when the park was actually completed.

The park today. The giant oak tree and a portion of the walkway are the only things that remain the same. To the left of the tree is Korematsu Elementary school and one of their play structures. To the right of the tree is a baseball field with a backstop. Not nearly as much fun as it used to be. But the constructed paths are still excellent for jogging and biking.
