Wild Turkeys

It's not uncommon to come across a pack of wild turkeys while exploring the city. Residents have sighted them in front yards, in my case right outside my bedroom window and very frequently they block traffic as cars wait for them to cross the street.

This group was screen crossing a parking lot across from the arboretum while I was waking to class. They have become a nuisance to some, as they destroy plants and gardens and they can also be quite vicious. Unfortunately city law prevents residents from shooting them but there is no law against hitting them with your car. At least I don't think there is.
