Volunteer Day

I volunteered this morning for Davis Farm to School and decided to post a picture of the garden education classroom at Harper Jr. High school. Currently, they have several small garden plots for students where they grow a lot of different vegetables and also a wide variety of weeds. Which is where I came in, to eradicate the weeds before they got big enough to consume the students. But the school is also in the process of putting in a community garden area for students and families for the school which would also greatly benefit the low income families in the area as they would be able to grow a lot of their own food. So if you have a free weekend go see all the cool things that Harper is doing and consider donating a couple hours to help because they could definitely use it!
