Started out my day bright and early and left Edinburgh for a tour of the highlands. The first stop on the tour was a hike to the Wallace monument which is seen below. After that trip we all stopped to see the biggest ginger in all of Scotland: Hamish the cow. This has been the best part of the trip so far because not only did Hamish wake up from his nap just for us, but we also got to see him go #1 and #2. Just lovely.

In the latter part of the day we witnessed many of the sites from the Harry potter movies including the backdrop to the quidditch games, the actual train engine used for the hogwarts express and the bridge that the train crosses over in the second movie. All of these things, especially the train has really made my trip worth it so far.
I ended the day out with a boat tour of lochness and there is a picture of it somewhere below. This is the first full day I have spent in this country where I have not encountered any rain. Today was gorgeous with perfect temperatures and clear skies all day. This made the boat tour slightly more enjoyable because it wasn't freezing or raining, but it was still a little cold. Sights were amazing, but no sign of the lochness monster.
