Keeping with the restaurant theme, here is another place that will greatly be missed. I must be hungry right now or something.
I am sad to report that not only will I never get to enjoy this place again due to the move, but no one in Davis will ever get to eat at this restaurant again because it has been forever closed down.
The Davis Dairy Queen was one of my absolutely favorite places to eat growing up and I have great memories coming here as a family for so many birthdays and other celebrations that I am so sad to see it go. I am pretty sure the owners almost knew us by name because we were here so often. I was so excited to go get some ice cream here one evening and then was totally shocked to drive up and see that it was closed down. I'm am not sure exactly why or when this happened, and this picture really does not do the restaurant justice. I was too sad to stop and get out of my car so I did a nice drive by and took a picture out of my car window. Way to end with a bang. There were also workers here removing all of the furniture and cleaning the place up so I was afraid if they say me they would call the police for taking creepy pictures. Anyways...
They are already trying to sell the place it seems, so I hope something else that is decent will move into this area, but nothing could every replace this Dairy Queen. It will be greatly missed. Crazy how much I now crave a chicken strip basket when I can no longer have one...
