Patriotic 4th

I got to spend some time with family over the 4th of July holiday and had a great weekend. We ate plenty of food and had some very patriotic watermelon.

And to top it all of we got to enjoy the fireworks through the gap in a tree. Oooh, aahhh.

This is the second year in a row I've watch the fireworks from afar and only seen snippets of them, so I think I am going to make this a yearly tradition. Who needs to see the whole firework when you can just imagine it in your head? And you don't have to deal with all the loud noises or deal with ashes falling from the sky.
