This is the Arboretum Terrace, located in Davis Commons (directly to the left of Borders in photo from yesterday). This garden is an extension of the Arboretum located on the UC Davis campus. It serves as a demonstration garden full of arboretum "all-star" plants. These are plants that are either native or grow well in our Mediterranean climate. Each plant is labeled and provides you with some general information. If you are looking for plants for your yard then definitely check this place out.
The garden is also a great place to study or have a picnic because it is generally very quiet. I never see very many people here, my theory is that most people just don't know that it exists. There are two very unique fountains that kids enjoy playing in and there are plenty of benches and tables.
