Tour of California

In honor of, or probably more like in mourning of Lance Armstrong's retirement on Wednesday I am posting pictures of the Amgen Tour of California. During the tour last year in May, Davis was a starting place for one of the stages.

 It was pouring down rain (much like today) and I skipped class so I could watch the race. I got there super early to get a good spot and I even got a free t-shirt! I was standing right next to the start line and I could see the stage where the race participants had to check in. I was so close I could see Lance Armstrong while he was crossing the stage. One of my happiest moments ever and it was definitely worth skipping class for. I am pretty sad that I won't get to see Lance this year, and i'm pretty sure Davis is getting skipped over in the tour. :(
