Unwanted furniture is left out on the street or in front lawns, leading to another popular activity in Davis: treasure hunting. If you know where to go you can find some pretty nice furniture (as long as you don't mind the occasional beer stain.) Dumpsters in most apartment complexes looks similar to the one below, so if you are in need of some free furniture I suggest visiting some of the major complexes in Davis.
Free stuff! Not all of the stuff left in people's front lawns would be considered "treasure." Some people also like to use their front yard as a dump. I don't think these people are even in the process of moving. Crazy party last night?
Luckily my apartment lease doesn't end until the 7th so I have been super lazy about packing and cleaning. But my all my furniture will be out on the street corner soon if anyone needs anything!
