Second, today marked a very special day for Davis, CA. Unfortunately I slept through this special event so not only did I not participate in it, I also did not get very good pictures of it.
Today Davis, CA attempted to break the Guinness world record for the world's longest bicycle parade. This morning at 10am bicyclists lined up in downtown to ride their bikes in a single line for 4 miles through downtown to break the record.
Following the parade there was a celebration in central park with live music, food and fun games for kids. I guess this means we actually broke the record, but I did not count the number of participants to be sure. I will keep you updated.
Evidence that the bike parade actually took place since I was too late to actually see it occur. Bikes were everywhere, most probably unlocked so I suggest if you are looking for an upgrade come next year and take your pick!
