But since I have been away, I am sure you have all been wondering what has become the fate of the Borders store in Davis. Sadly, the store officially closed down a few weeks ago and the building was left vacant. It broke my heart to even walk by it and see the building so empty, but do not fear. Davis has done this store justice and replaced good ol' Borders with a Spirit Halloween store! Woo!!
Ok, really Davis? But I admit the store is pretty cool. Much better than the Halloween store in the Marketplace, although I believe they are run by the same company. Meaning they both have the exact same stuff. I didn't dare take a picture inside this time because apparently people don't like that very much. Starting tomorrow the store will have everything selling for 50% off, so get your costume for next year now. Once the holiday is over I will once again be wondering the fate of the Borders... rumors are going around it will become a Whole Foods store? Maybe?
