TGFS Picnic

Today I attended my 3rd Thank Goodness for Staff (TGFS) Picnic held by UC Davis. This event occurs every year in May to celebrate and thank all of the staff that work on the UC Davis campus. Permanent staff, that is. All the student staff have to volunteer in order to get the free food. I volunteered as a photographer and got this picture of the long food lines, tents and the Band-Uh playing in the middle.

This picnic is one of my favorite events of the year, not just because of the free food. There is a wide variety of entertainment including live performances, displays and games, free swag and my favorite, the chance to meet Gunrock, our school's mascot. I was lucky enough to get my picture taken with the man of honor this year, and happy I did because this may be the last year I will get to attend the TGFS Picnic.
