Cliffs of Mohr

Started the day off with no hope of good weather. I have not been dry for the past two days straight, and judging by the site outside my window when I woke up I didn't think today would be any different. The good news is I made it through the night with no ghost sightings. I actually slept like a baby.

We are now on day three of our bus tour which is actually a very sad thought because that means it is more than halfway over already! I have been having such a great time and meeting a lot of people in our group.

But anyways, the first stop of the day was at a place called Poulnabrone. The landscape was very rocky and there were giant tombs there created by people thousands of years ago. The tombs were made out of very large pieces of rocks that weighed over five thousand pounds.

Next we stopped at the very famous cliffs of mohr, also known as the cliffs of insanity. As we were driving up the road to get to them, the already terrible weather took an even bigger turn for the worst. The rain started up again and the fog was so dense you literally couldn't see 10 feet in front of you. So needless to say the cliffs were just so beautiful, as shown by the lovely photo.

Yupp, could see a thing. It sounded quite pretty though. Everyone's spirits were quite down after this as it was one of the main things we were looking forward to. So to lift the spirits we all went and had a little retail therapy session.

We stopped in a small surfing town that had beautiful beaches and while we were here of course the fog lifted and the sun came out. What do you know. But at least there was some nice weather for the beach and people were out swimming and having surfing lessons.

After this stop we headed to our final stop for the night in Galway. As we learned upon arrival, Galway is the site for the Volvo ocean race. Which apparently is a very big deal because people are watching boats come in and partying everywhere in the streets.

We had a group dinner tonight with our entire tour group, which was very nice and we all got a lot closer. More fun stuff to come tomorrow. Only a few days left to explore Ireland.
