The Buzz

UC Davis started again this week and all the little freshman are back. The school puts on several activities during the first week of school to orient the new freshman on how to live on their own and function in this world. These events were originally intended just for the new students but once there was word of free stuff they became campus wide events. One such event is called The Buzz which occurs every year on the Friday during the first week of school. The event is held on the quad on campus and vendors come from all over to promote their products, sell food, or get students involved on campus. There is always a lot to do and see including a bunch of inflated games like those seen in the pictures, a rock wall, dance performances and musical entertainment as well.

This year was the most crowded I had ever seen it, and the most popular activity was waiting in giant lines for hours to try and get free stuff. Needless to say I did not get anything for free.

But I did attend the concert at the end of the night where some guy performed. I dunno but I took a lot of pictures. Definitely if you are a student it is a fun free event to check out, but if you are not a student avoid the entire campus and downtown this night because it attracts a lot of freshman.
