Just kidding. Davis people are used to running in the rain. Lets be honest, the turkey trot has been going for the past 25 years, and all of those years it probably rained. So terrible weather does not keep the people of Davis from having fun. But everyone who was in the race this morning will probably call in sick on Monday.
I participated in the 10K race for the first time and had a blast. There were other options including kids runs, a 5K and the half marathon. And once again my motivation for running fast was to get past the finish and get in line for all the good free stuff. I got a pretty good loot this time around. Totally worth it.
