Quality Entertainment on the Quad

When the sun comes out, so do the people to the UC Davis Quad area. This large area of grass in the center of campus attracts a lot of students when the weather is nice enough to actually be able to sit outside and enjoy it. This has been one of the first days in a long time that temperature has been warm enough to do this and many people, including myself took full advantage. I was on the quad for several hours today and was thoroughly entertained the entire time. There was so much going on and so many strange people to look at; I believe the quad is one of the best places to people watch. Of course, if you want to be active there is always someone on the quad willing to throw a frisbee at your face, or a group of strangers you can join to play duck duck goose with like these people pictured below.

There are so many different activities you can participate in while on the quad whether you prefer more traditional sports like soccer, football and frisbee, or the not so traditional such as juggling, dancing with hula hoops and whatever the heck these guys are playing below. I must be old because this was never something people did while I was in school... I don't even know what to call this.

But if you are like me, you would much rather prefer to just sit back and watch it all happen, and of course discuss with others about all the weird people you see.
