Davis Carnival

This weekend I visited the Davis Carnival! This is something very exciting because this is only the second year that Davis has had a carnival, and Davis doesn't usually get anything like this. The carnival is a fundraiser hosted by Emerson Jr. High school and is only in town for four days out of the year. It is held where the old tomato factory used to stand, AKA "Cannery Park." The park is only open when the carnival is here and it is so overrun by weeds that it is actually really creepy and you kind of feel like you are in the twilight zone when you walk in.

Parking and admission is completely free, it just costs money to buy food and ride on the rides. But even as you pay an exorbitant amount of money for these, you feel good because you are helping the Davis schools. I chose to go on one ride because that is all I could afford, but of course I chose the ferris wheel. Which was actually a lot more terrifying than I thought, but if I had not gone I would not have gotten both of these awesome pictures!

It was a lot of fun and I am so glad that I got to visit it. Today is the last day that the carnival is in town so if you haven't been yet, you better go or you will have to wait an entire year!
