This was my first time ever seeing the Atlantic ocean. Or at least the first time I remember it, so I was very excited. We stopped at a very beautiful beach as seen in the picture, but I'm pretty sure this was the windiest place in the world. It was raining too, and with the whipping wind the little rain drops felt like pieces of glass hitting you in the face. So needless to say none of us went swimming. But we did get to dip our feet in, which according to our tour guide will cause us to leave a piece of our soul back in Ireland. Luckily we can come back in 20 years and claim it. So I guess I really have to come back now.
The rest of the day we stopped in several small towns with cute little shops and restaurants. I did a bit of souvenir shopping and bought some shot glasses to start my new collection.
The weather could have been better today, so hopefully tomorrow will be an improvement. If it stops raining once throughout the day it will already be a major improvement.
Our stay tonight is in the "best hostel in all of Ireland" but apparently this hostel is haunted. Our guide told us one male ghost has been known to haunt a certain room of the hostel but she didn't tell us which one. Of course once we check in we are certain it is our room because it smells weird and it is way colder than any other room in the place. I guess I will be sleeping with the lights on tonight.
